Privacy policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This policy explains what the XiVolte app (“XiVolte”), made by Xi Studios (“we”, “us”), keeps, what it sends, why, and the choices you have. XiVolte is a wallpaper app for Android. It has no accounts: you never sign up, and you never give us your name, email address or password to use it.
The short version
- No accounts and no sign-up.
- Your saved wallpapers, the ones you've set and the ones you've unlocked stay on your phone.
- To find out which wallpapers are popular, our server counts each time one is set. It doesn't keep your IP address to do this.
- Ads appear only when you choose to unlock an Exclusive wallpaper. They come from Google AdMob, which collects information as explained below.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
1. Information kept on your phone
XiVolte stores these things in its own private storage on your phone:
- the wallpapers you've saved,
- the wallpapers you've set (your Downloaded list),
- which Exclusive wallpapers you've unlocked,
- copies of wallpapers, previews and the wallpaper list, so they open faster and work offline.
We don't receive any of this. You can clear the Downloaded list and the stored copies in the app's Settings, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
If backup to your Google account is turned on for your phone, Android may include your saved, downloaded and unlocked lists in that backup, so they come back when you move to a new phone. The backup is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; we can't see it. Wallpaper files and the stored copies aren't backed up.
2. Information sent when you use the app
Showing you wallpapers
The app downloads the wallpaper list, pictures and videos from our server. As with any website or app on the internet, each request reaches our server with your IP address and the time of the request. We use this only to deliver the content and to keep the service secure.
Counting popular wallpapers
When you set a wallpaper, the app asks our server for the full-size file, and the server adds one to that wallpaper's count for the day. This is how the “Top” list works. So that one person setting the same wallpaper several times in a day counts once, the server stores a scrambled code made from your IP address and the date. Your IP address itself isn't stored, the code is used for nothing else, and it's deleted within 2 days. The daily counts contain no information about you and are kept for 60 days.
Our hosting provider
Our server and wallpaper storage run on Cloudflare, which handles this traffic on our behalf to deliver the app's content and protect it from abuse. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy.
3. Ads
Exclusive wallpapers unlock after you choose to watch a short video ad. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. The app only loads an ad when you open an Exclusive wallpaper that you haven't unlocked yet; there are no other ads in the app.
When an ad is loaded or shown, Google's software in the app collects information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, general location worked out from the IP address, information about your device and the app, and how you interact with the ad. Google uses it to show and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, where you allow it, to personalise the ads you see. Google's own policies apply to this information; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your choice before Google uses your information for personalised ads, and you can change that choice at any time in the app's Settings.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or limit personalised ads, in your phone's settings (usually under Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads).
4. What we don't do
- We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or files.
- The app's only permissions are internet access and permission to set wallpapers. Google's ad software also uses the advertising ID, which you control in your phone's settings.
- We don't sell or share your personal information for money.
- We don't use analytics, crash reporting or tracking tools of our own.
5. How long information is kept
| What | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Saved, Downloaded and unlocked lists | Your phone (and your own Google backup, if turned on) | Until you clear them or uninstall the app |
| Stored copies of wallpapers and previews | Your phone | Until you free up space in Settings or uninstall the app |
| Scrambled daily code (from IP address and date) | Our server | Deleted within 2 days |
| Daily counts of wallpapers set | Our server | 60 days |
| Ad information | As set out in Google's policies |
6. Security
The app talks to our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Full-size wallpapers are only handed out through short-lived links.
7. Children
XiVolte isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
- Clear your Downloaded list or the stored copies at any time in Settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored.
- Change your ad choices in the app's Settings where offered, and manage your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it deleted. Because XiVolte has no accounts, we hold no information that identifies you, but you're welcome to contact us with any question or request.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app or on this website.
